Grocery POS Software Technician – San Diego, CA
Retail Data Systems is looking for a motivated Grocery POS Software Technician in the San Diego / Oceanside, CA area. RDS is the largest independent provider of Point of Sale in North America and our Sacramento team services grocery customers across the West Coast. This is a customer-facing position and requires direct engagement with our customers as well as other members of the RDS Organization.
Required Knowledge and Experience:
- Network connectivity and security (wired and wireless)
- Operating systems (current, past, Windows)
- PC Hardware (building, troubleshooting, and testing)
- Friendly and patient demeanor when dealing with customers
- Point of sale experience preferred
- Grocery experience preferred
Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot network connectivity
- Troubleshoot, repair, and/or replace point of sale / POS / PC / computer hardware
- Image, reimage, backup point of sale equipment using Acronis and Ghost
- Daily interaction with customers to resolve OS, network, software, and hardware issues
- POS system project planning
- POS System installation and training
